Review: Wanna have the WORST experience of your life? Then go to comedy works downtown Denver! I'll start at the beginning....i planned a bachelorette party for my sister in law and the end of the night was supposed to be a fun time watching Mateo Lane at comedy works. I called a month in advance to see about getting a section for our group to sit together. The man I spoke to assured me that it would not be a problem for our party to be seated together as they would rope off a section for us. He told me to call again 2 weeks in advance with a solid headcount and they would reserve our seats.
I call again 2 weeks in advance of the show and speak to a woman that explains that they do not reserve seats and if we want to sit together we will need to get there early. Annoying and contradictory to what I was previously told but whatever.
So the day comes for us to attend the show and it was AWFUL from the moment we walked in the door. The hostess was obviously overwhelmed and having a hard time seating people. When one of my guests tried to make a suggestion and the hostess rudely SUSHED her then snapped at her and said "just gimme a minute!" Well she finally figured something out and of course our party was NOT able to sit together. I called an entire month in advance and they couldnt figure out a way to seat us together! Totally stupid but we were just happy to have finally been sat.
The bride went to the restroom and on return ACCIDENTALLY bumps into the server (Mary Beth bitch face) and the server falls down like an NBA player desperate to get foul points! SUPER OVERDRAMATIC even after the bride apologized. The server takes some drink orders and refused to take the order of the bride. Instead she yells at the bride that she is injured and its the brides fault. The girl next to me told the waitress she didnt want anything at the moment to which Mary Beth rudely responded to say "its not an option. You buy two items or you have to leave. I'll come back when you figure it out"
30 seconds later the manager (Jesse Gordon) approaches us and says that our entire party has to leave. Since I was the host I asked that he speak to me about the issue and try to find a resolution. We step into the hallway and the manager proceeds to say that our party is being disruptive and we are getting complaints from staff members and patrons. I ask what the complaints are about and he tells me that he is under no obligation to tell me anything. I ask him to be reasonable as we had been in the theater less than 5 mins, assuring him there would be no further issues and he refused. I asked that he let me gather the girls to let them know what was going on and we would leave. He told me at that point that under no circumstances would he allow me back into the theater and they had called the police to remove us from the venue. I ask if we can at least get a refund since they were refusing to let us see the show we paid for and he LAUGHED at me and said NO. The police officer and other manager guarded the door so I could not go back in.
As we are LITERALLY being PUSHED out the door the manager (Thomas Bessent) decided it was appropriate to put his hands on the bride, grabs her and rips her phone out of her hands to take the child locks off. Had we not been forcefully removed from the venue she would have had it removed without the unwanted and unwarranted physical contact from Tom. Much to my surprise the police officer (R. Eric Shirley badge#07017)did and said nothing to the manager after he ASSAULTED a patron!
We leave but I was so upset by the whole event I went back in to get the names and information of the employees and officer that were involved. Tom (the assaulting manager) approaches me at the ticket counter and rudely asks me what I want. I told him I was there to get the info so I could report the assault the corporate. He said "haha yeah good luck with that cuz thats not what happened." I said "yes it is! Me and my 8 guests witnessed you putting your hands on the bride" he scoffs says whatever and storms off.
Later that night, I decided to scroll through some of the reviews for comedy works Downtown and find that we are not the only patrons to be assaulted by the staff of comedy works. Namely this manager!
If you want to have a terrible time, squeeze into tiny seats that force you to rub up against and be sweat on by strangers, be told to buy something or leave, deal with rude, overdramatic staff, be kocked out without an explanation or refund and be assaulted by management.... then comedy works Downtown Denver is the place for you!
I will never set foot in any comedy works ever again and I will be disputing the ticket costs with my financial institution since a refund was refused and we were not allowed to see the show we paid for. I will also be contacting the Denver police Department to report the lack of action taken by officer Shurley who witnessed the assault. I will be speaking to comedy works corporate office to file a complaint against the staff members involved and will be posting this review on ANY and EVERY review site in existance. Also plan to contact channel 3 "on your side" to see if this is a newsworthy story. I feel like unprovoked staff members assaulting customers might just make the cut. Good luck with THAT Tom!

Review: Without a doubt, the best club in Southern Ontario. Largest dance floor, largest sound system, best light show, HUGE raised VIP, separate pool table room and the music is killer - good dj. As for the crowd - lots of beautiful people go there - lot's of Snooky types. Drink prices are fair for this caliber of club. Bombs were $5.50....Same with Grey Goose... only $5.50!!!!! Helloooo lol
My friends from Hamilton love it when they come to visit too. If anyone gave this club a negative rating...their not into clubs...Period.. the other clubs in Windsor should take lessons on what a REAL club is.

Review: Owner of the place is Jazz Pianist Kerem Görsev. He himself sometimes plays time to time. And it accomodates many jazz singers either from Turkey or other countries. If you look for nice quality jazz music, this is the place...
